Job title: QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Role involves preparing test cases and performing testing of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client end and ensuring 100% quality assurance. You will help in understanding test requirements and test case design, author test planning based on business requirements, and implement Wipro's testing approach including model-based testing for efficient test generation. You will ensure test cases are peer reviewed, collaborate with the development team, and automate the test lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Prepare test cases and perform testing of the product/platform/solution deployed at client end, ensuring quality and adherence to QA standards.
• Understand test requirements and design test cases; author test plans aligned with business requirements.
• Implement Wipro's testing approach, including model-based testing, and aim for efficient test generation.
• Ensure test cases are peer reviewed and minimize rework; collaborate with development team to capture test cases and manage versioning.
• Define testing criteria, scope/out-of-scope, and participate in UAT.
• Automate test life cycle at appropriate stages through VB macros, scheduling, and GUI automation; design and execute automation framework.
• Develop and automate tests for software validation, including setting up test environments, creating test plans, cases, and executing them.
• Manage defects with clear descriptions and replication patterns; ensure closure within project norms and track progress with dashboards.
• Provide status updates to stakeholders with test status dashboards; feedback on usability and quality risks.
• Maintain timely communication with customers; deliver WSRs, test execution reports, and relevant dashboards; update project trackers.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of experience in product testing or QA.
• Mandatory Skills: Product Testing.
• Strong understanding of test requirements and test case design; ability to design test plans.
• Experience with automation using VB macros and GUI automation; ability to automate the test life cycle.
• Familiarity with model-based testing and automation framework development.
• Experience with defect tracking and writing clear defect reports with replication steps.
• Ability to work with development teams and communicate effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as eCube and TMS.
• Commitment to on-time delivery, meeting SLAs, and maintaining high quality.

Nice to Have

• Model-based testing experience; GUI automation; VB macros; experience with building automation frameworks; exposure to Wipro testing methodology.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $45,000 - $110,000 per year (USD). Final compensation depends on location, skills, and experience.
