Job Summary
Our client, a prominent financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join their technical team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks to evaluate and improve the quality of product suites and digital platforms. Because our client prioritizes security, reliability, and speed, the ideal candidate will automate test coverage for core systems, digital apps, and APIs, ensuring they strictly adhere to regulatory standards, data security protocols, and internal quality benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities

Automation Framework Design: Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated testing frameworks and scripts for mobile apps, web applications, and digital platforms.

API & System Testing: Create and execute automated tests for backend APIs, microservices, and databases to ensure seamless integration and data consistency across systems.

Defect Tracking & CI/CD: Identify, document, and track software bugs and system vulnerabilities. Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and rapid deployment.

Test Maintenance: Review, refactor, and update existing automated test scripts to accommodate new product features, system updates, and changing requirements.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Support and collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users during UAT sessions before deploying new features or products.

Reporting: Analyze automated test execution results and prepare detailed metrics and quality reports for tech leadership and management.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer, preferably within a financial institution, FinTech, or corporate financial services environment.

Automation Tools: Strong proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, Appium, or Cucumber), along with backend API testing tools (like Postman).

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and backend scripting logic used to build robust automation frameworks (excluding JavaScript frameworks).

Database & DevOps: Strong understanding of relational databases (SQL) and experience working alongside CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).

Certifications (An Advantage): ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer or relevant Agile/Scrum certifications are a plus.
