Job title: Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineer
About the Role Canonical is hiring Python and Kubernetes Specialist Engineers to join distributed teams focused on Data, Workflows, AI/ML and Analytics Solutions for public cloud and private infrastructure. You will contribute to end-to-end data analytics and MLOps using popular open-source tools.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on end-to-end data analytics and MLOps solutions using open-source ML tools such as Kubeflow, MLFlow, DVC and Feast.
- Work on ETL, data governance, and visualization with Apache Superset, dbt.
- Build workflow orchestration with Airflow and Temporal.
- Develop data warehouse solutions with Apache Trino or ClickHouse.
- Deploy solutions on servers, in the cloud, on Kubernetes, developer desktops, or as web services.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Python and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on work with data analytics and MLOps using open-source tools (Kubeflow, MLFlow, DVC, Feast).
- Familiarity with ETL, data governance, visualization (Apache Superset, dbt).
- Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow, Temporal).
- Knowledge of data warehouse technologies (Apache Trino, ClickHouse).
- Ability to work in a globally distributed, remote-friendly team and collaborate effectively.
Nice to Have
- Experience deploying open-source data tooling across servers, cloud, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with the listed tools in production environments.
