Job title: Purchasing / Procurement Specialist (PACIS Program)
About the Role Based in Villeurbanne on the Alstom site, you will join the Purchasing team of Alstom Digital and Integrated Services France to manage procurement activities for a growing PACIS program (Passenger Information System) from Tender through deployment for railway projects. You will coordinate with Programme, Legal and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with Quality, Cost, and Time (QCD) objectives.
What You'll Do
- Manage purchasing activity to guarantee the execution of a Programme Alstom (PACIS system) from Tender phase to deployment for projects
- Launch RFQs with Alstom's supplier panel in line with purchasing strategies and the validated RFQ Package with the Programme team
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Present to internal stakeholders a Business Award in accordance with QCD requirements or submit a Procurement commitment in Tender phase
- Set up legal contracts with chosen suppliers with support from Legal
- Define supplier contractual commitments on Life Cycle Cost and Maintenance
- Monitor cost variations during development and deployment
- Optimize costs through different levers (technical, redesign, etc.)
- Monitor supplier risks on QCD to anticipate difficulties and prepare mitigation plans
What We're Looking For
- 5-10 years of purchasing experience in an industrial and complex environment
- Rigorous, interested in this industrial environment with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to anticipate and persuade
- Appetite for implementation and management of contractual aspects
- Fluent English
- Proficiency in SAP
