About the Role Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) is seeking a Purchasing professional responsible for supplier safety, cost, quality, delivery and service for production parts and new model parts development. This role focuses on managing supplier performance across S-QCDD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development) and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure a robust supply base and effective sourcing strategies. What You'll Do

• Track, measure, and improve part-related Supplier Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Development (S-QCDD) KPIs.
• Select, develop, and manage supply base for production parts, components, and systems by: preparing RFIs/RFQ for multi-year full production quantities; negotiating long-term agreements and maintaining competitive pricing; leading yearly cost reduction activities; monitoring and improving supplier safety, quality, and delivery performance.
• Enhance supplier safety, part quality, and delivery, and reduce risks.
• Write action reports related to effective countermeasures for part quality defects.
• Continuously expand expertise in automotive component function, supply chain, quality control, and manufacturing processes.
• Communicate results of supplier process audits and propose corrective suggestions.
• Develop ideas with R&D from initial product development stages and develop parts together with suppliers.
• Formulate and implement yearly commodity and supply base strategy based on Annual Purchasing Value and other relevant factors.
• Explore available technology and implement best practices related to purchasing activities.
• Evaluate part designs with engineering. What We're Looking For
• Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management for automotive parts.
• Proven ability to prepare RFIs/RFQs, negotiate long-term agreements, and drive annual cost reduction activities.
• Track record of monitoring supplier safety, quality, and delivery performance and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience collaborating with R&D during early product development to design and develop parts with suppliers.
• Ability to formulate commodity and supply base strategies based on purchasing value and other factors.
• Knowledge of supplier process audits and implementing corrective suggestions.
• Continuous learning mindset with interest in automotive components, manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain.
