About the role

Job Title: Purchase Executive / Officer, Surat

Company: Mykron Plus India Pvt. Ltd. (formerly Alpha Pharma Daman Pvt. Ltd.), www.mykronplus.com. Manufacturer of PET bottles, PP bottles and caps for pharma, cosmetics, agro, dairy and beverage brands.

Location: Surat, Gujarat (Office-based) Working Days and Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: ₹30,000 to ₹50,000 per month, depending on experience and skills

About the Role

We are setting up our Surat office and need an experienced purchase executive to handle procurement for our Daman factory. You will report to the Purchase Head. This role suits someone who is good at negotiation, follows up well, and wants to build a clean, organised purchase system.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase all non-raw-material items for the factory (such as packing material, consumables, spares, tools and services). This includes getting quotations, comparing vendors and negotiating the best rates
• Prepare and track purchase orders for all items, including raw material, in SAP B1 (training provided)
• Follow up with vendors on delivery, and coordinate with Daman stores on pending POs, shortages and GRN mismatches
• Maintain a date-wise vendor rate database and compare rates across vendors and over time
• Prepare monthly purchase MIS in Excel and escalate price variances or unusual increases promptly
• Find new vendors, benchmark rates against the market and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Report savings achieved to the Purchase Head
• Travel to the Daman factory when work requires it (travel allowance provided)

Requirements

• Graduate (commerce preferred)

• 3 to 5 years of purchase or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing company

• Proven experience in vendor negotiation and rate comparison

• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)

• Good communication in Hindi and English (Gujarati is a plus)

• Based in Surat

• Good to Have

• Experience with plastics, packaging or chemical materials

• Experience with SAP B1 or another ERP

• Experience in vendor rate benchmarking
