Pump Operator
Location: Guzape, Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Operate pumps and related equipment in line with site requirements and operating procedures.
- Inspect pumps, hoses, pipes, valves, and connections before and during operation.
- Monitor pump performance and promptly report faults, leaks, blockages, or breakdowns.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of pumping equipment.
- Monitor fluid levels, pressure, and flow to ensure efficient operation.
- Keep records of pump usage, maintenance, and operational issues where required.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Site Engineer or Construction Manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating pumps, preferably on a construction site, is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of pump operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with other site personnel.
- Physically fit and able to work in a construction environment.
