Job title: Pulmonary Function Technologist Per Diem
About the Role Under the supervision of the Administrative Director - Cardiovascular Institute and Specialty Practices, the Pulmonary Function Technologist per diem performs comprehensive pulmonary function testing and ensures equipment maintenance and quality control. The role supports testing such as flow-volume loops, diffusion capacities, lung volumes, airway resistance, and arterial blood gases, and is responsible for inventory, calibration, and records.
What You'll Do
- Perform all testing in accordance with American Thoracic Society (ATS) standards.
- Conduct all bronchodilator studies according to policy.
- Calibrate and maintain instruments daily or as required before patient testing.
- Record patient's demographic information accurately.
- Perform monthly bio-calibrations.
- Maintain adequate inventory of drugs and supplies.
- Review and correct all orders.
- Establish performance goals annually.
What We're Looking For
- Education: An Associate degree in Respiratory Sciences from an AMA-approved school.
- Certification, Registration & Licensure: Medical Technician - NH Board of Registration of Medical Technicians.
Nice to Have
- Experience in pulmonary function testing preferred, but will train qualified candidate.
