About the Role Accenture Infrastructure & Capital Projects is seeking a Public Works Inspector to help plan, manage, and deliver civil and utility construction for public infrastructure projects. You will perform on-site inspections, document contractor progress, verify quantities, and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, codes, safety/environmental requirements. You’ll coordinate with contractors, engineers, testing labs, and agency staff to keep projects moving smoothly and to build strong client relationships. What You'll Do
- Perform daily field inspections of civil and utility construction, including grading, paving, concrete, storm drains, water, sewer, and traffic improvements.
- Document contractor progress, verify quantities, and monitor compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Prepare detailed daily inspection reports and maintain accurate project records.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, testing labs, and agency representatives to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure construction activities are performed in accordance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and punch list/walkthrough inspections.
- Assist with change order verification and pay application reviews as needed.
- Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate client relationships; some in-person time will be required for collaboration. What We're Looking For
- Minimum seven (7) years of inspection experience on public works projects.
- Minimum three (3) years experience with Caltrans, cities, counties, or special districts in Southern California.
- Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Bonus points if you have certifications such as ACI, ICC, QSP/QSD, AWS, or NICET.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and labor compliance requirements.
- Experience working on federally funded projects or DBE compliance.
- Familiarity with inspection software such as Fieldwire, Procore, or client PMIS systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- FAA experience. Nice to Have
- Certifications such as ACI, ICC, QSP/QSD, AWS, or NICET.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and labor compliance requirements.
- Experience with inspection software (Fieldwire, Procore, PMIS).
- Bilingual abilities.

- Salary: $135,000 - $175,000 per year.
