About the Role The City of Aiken's Department of Public Safety is accepting applications for Public Safety Officer I. This role supports the protection of life and property through general police and fire suppression duties and enforcement of laws and ordinances. What You'll Do
- Perform general police and fire suppression duties to protect life and property through enforcement of laws and ordinances.
- Act to protect the public by enforcing city/state laws and fire prevention protocols. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Possess a valid South Carolina driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must meet all requirements of South Carolina law for law enforcement officers and firefighters.
- This position is subject to a criminal background check; only job-related convictions will be considered. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $56,000 per year.
