Responsibilities
- The hospice volunteer plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of care delivered to patients and families. Volunteers may provide direct patient/family care, bereavement support, or administrative assistance, supporting the hospice agency's goal of quality patient/family care. Assignments are matched to the volunteer's experience, training, and interests, and all work is performed under the supervision of an agency employee.
