Salary: $153,000 - $224,000 USD yearly Manager

Meta is looking for a Public Policy Manager to join our External Affairs team who will support executive-level decision-making on content and product-related issues. This person will work across a range of content, policy, and product areas, and will work with a wide variety of policy, communications, legal, and operational teams, to support and inform both US and global executives, and the broader policy team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with a variety of cross-functional teams on content and product-related decisions, proactively identify and assess potential risks and opportunities, and help manage related processes

• Capture and synthesize feedback, and help drive clarity and understanding on complex issues

• Produce and present internal communications for leadership to assist in decision-making, providing situational understanding (including risks and opportunities), options, and cross-functional views

• Help inform policy and product development, partnering with subject-matter experts to provide a public policy perspective

• Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in program management, public policy, policy enforcement, law, government, national security, law enforcement, media, product management, or a related discipline

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Law, Political Science, or a related field

• Knowledge of geo-political, security, or civic issues in the Americas, how they intersect with social media, and the possible impacts real world events will have on the safety of the community

• Demonstrated experience with simplifying complex issues, and managing time-sensitive projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities

• Experience providing decision support and advice to executives

• Experience building consensus across cross-functional stakeholders and communicating policy positions to internal audiences through written briefs and presentations

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience making high-stakes decisions by evaluating trade-offs and available data, drafting clear communications for leadership, and building collaborative relationships with teams across the organization

• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies

• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)

• Experience driving and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

• Experience framing, simplifying, and briefing difficult and complex decisions to leadership

• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

• Salary: $153,000/year to $224,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
