Job title: Public Cloud Solution Architect
About the Role Public Cloud Solution Architect to drive Canonical’s joint initiatives and technical engagements with major public clouds. This role will act as the technical counterpart to Canonical’s Cloud Alliance GTM Lead, working closely with engineering, sales, and product management teams across Canonical and our cloud partners. Location: Remote in the Americas.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and alliance teams at public cloud partners to align on open-source strategies.
- Ensure Canonical’s product requirements are clear and deliverable.
- Serve as the technical counterpart to Canonical’s Cloud Alliance GTM Lead, coordinating with engineering, sales, and product management across Canonical and cloud partners.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, balancing technical depth with commercial considerations.
What We're Looking For
- Strong technical background in open-source software and enterprise cloud initiatives.
- Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and product management teams and with cloud partners.
- Ability to prioritize and navigate the strategies of both Canonical and cloud partners, with commercial awareness though not a sales role.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working remotely across the Americas.
