Job title: Prototypiste Ski
As a Prototypiste Ski at Salomon, you will be at the heart of creation, precision and technical excellence. You will prototype and hand-finish skis, collaborating with the racing service and World Cup teams to meet athletes' high-performance requirements.
What You'll Do
- Realize and inspect ski prototypes with artisanal care, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship for alpine and nordic skis, including competition models.
- Prepare and machine construction elements (forming, cutting, gluing) to specification.
- Finish soles and edges: sharpening, structuring, sanding, and repair.
- Collaborate with the racing service and World Cup teams to meet top-athlete requirements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Help track stock of consumables and raw materials.
What We're Looking For
- BEP/CAP in technical field or ski manufacturing; ideally specialized in ski or manufacturing.
- 2-3 years experience in a similar role (e.g., Skiman, etc.), including internships/apprenticeships.
- Manual dexterity and a meticulous, organized work approach.
- Ability to work with 2D cutting files (.dxf) or 3D CAD files (notably for wood cores).
- Resilience, adaptability, perseverance and motivation to take on challenges.
- Analytical skills based on experience and use of metrology tools.
- Genuine passion for alpine and nordic skiing to understand skiers' needs.
- Experience with WINTERSTEIGER Jupiter or similar is a plus.
- Proficiency in French (mandatory); English is a plus.
