Job title: ProTeam Team Leader

About the Role Lead a ProTeam of Engineers, Technicians, Planners and Machine Operators at the Van Wert, OH manufacturing plant to execute the strategic plan, drive performance, and maintain a safe, cost-aware operation.

What You'll Do

• Lead the team according to the ProTeam strategic plan, including vision, mission and strategic metrics to drive behavior and results.
• Carry out strategic pricing/quoting plans by customer/application/product type to quote with efficiency and win targeted business.
• Maintain and continuously improve standard work and playbooks for individuals and processes.
• Improve and maintain relationships with key sales team members and key customers.
• Manage the daily activities of all department employees, including performance management, coaching, development, support, and follow-up.
• Implement, promote, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Partner with EHS, Engineering and Maintenance to ensure adequate equipment is available and operated safely to conduct business efficiently.
• Evaluate information to assure manufacturability and cost effectiveness of all products produced through the ProTeam.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal stakeholders including operations, customer service, purchasing and suppliers.
• Ensure team members are effectively trained and have access to the tools and resources needed.
• Develop, motivate and coach team members; act as an employee advocate.
• Engage the workforce and drive change by empowering business partners with decision making and urgency.
• Administer shift start-up meetings, including training, communication and engagement and delivering required content.
• Coach employee behavior using the Danfoss Leadership Model and HR policies to ensure fair and consistent application.
• Maintain an organizational structure that supports the ProTeam Strategy and Van Wert operations.
• Maintain close liaison with regional AE, Current Product Engineering and New Product Development teams to align strategies and objectives.
• Complete AE activities as needed within ProTeam.

What We're Looking For

• A High School Diploma is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Detailed understanding of Finance and Accounting.
• Technical knowledge of FC product lines including designs, test methods, end product use, and manufacturing methods/processes.
• Understanding of the Fluid Conveyance Group's current strategic plans.
• Ability to supervise and motivate subordinates while maintaining organizational harmony and meeting deadlines.
• Effective communication at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to collaborate across functions for the common good of Danfoss.
