About the Role Stratolaunch seeks a hands-on Propulsion Technician to join a team that builds and maintains propulsion systems for hypersonic flight vehicles. This on-site role in Mojave focuses on liquid and hybrid rocket engines, high-pressure and cryogenic systems, and safety-first practices that enable rapid technology deployment and flight data validation. What You'll Do
- Build and maintain fluid systems, including propellants, high pressure, and cryogenic systems
- Collaborate with engineers to build, test, and maintain rocket engines and propulsion components
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on fluid and gas systems, low and high pressure
- Operate or learn to operate heavy machinery (forklift, all-terrain forklift, overhead equipment, etc.)
- Emphasize SAFETY-FIRST and team health/well-being
- May involve field work and operational responsibilities What We're Looking For
- Experience with fluid systems and high-pressure gas systems
- Ability to read and understand Plumbing and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Tube fitting & bending; familiarity with common industry fittings
- Mechanical fabrication (benchwork, GD&T, shop skills)
- Systems assembly from blueprints/manuals/diagrams
- Rocket systems or test experience preferred but not required
- LOX handling and cryogenics maintenance; LOX cleaning/clean room experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license preferred but not required Nice to Have
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license preferred Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: Level I $31.65-$42.00/hr; Level II $38.50-$48.50/hr
- 9/80 schedule
