Job Description

Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Head of Ecosytem Marketing for their Head Office.

The Promotions Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination and execution of approved promotional campaigns across Dis-Chem customer-facing channels. The role ensures promotional activity is accurately represented, effectively executed and aligned to the broader integrated marketing calendar, supporting commercial priorities, customer engagement and business objectives.

Minimum Requirements… Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in retail promotions, broadsheet planning, or marketing campaign execution or promotional coordination.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a leadership or people management role within fast-paced retail or marketing environments.

Responsibilities

• Promotions planning and calendar management

• Maintain the promotional calendar within the broader integrated marketing and GTM calendar.

• Translate approved commercial promotional activity into clear campaign and channel execution requirements.

• Coordinate promotional inputs across Commercial, Category, Promotions Loading, Media, Social, CRM, Creative Studio and Retail Operations.

• Campaign management and execution coordination

• Coordinate approved promotional activity across store, digital, social, CRM, app, website, print and in-store touchpoints.

• Ensure approved pricing, product details, disclaimers, inclusions, exclusions and campaign information are accurately reflected.

• Track promotional readiness, timelines, dependencies and delivery risks, escalating issues where required.

• Stakeholder alignment and governance

• Coordinate agency deliverables linked to promotional execution, ensuring accurate briefs, timelines and approved information.

• Lead Promotions Specialists and Coordinators to deliver accurate, consistent and on-time promotional execution.

• Maintain promotional documentation, approvals and campaign records.

• Competencies Essential:

• Domain expertise

• Strong understanding of retail promotions, broadsheet processes, promotional execution and omnichannel campaign requirements.

• High attention to detail across pricing, disclaimers, product information, creative outputs and channel execution.

• Familiarity with campaign coordination across store, digital, CRM, social, print and in-store touchpoints.

• Leadership & commercial acumen

• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage vendor and agency deliverables.

• Commercial awareness to align promotional execution with approved business priorities.

• Project management capability to deliver promotions on time, on brief and on brand

• Promotional accuracy: Approved promotional details are accurately reflected across channels.

• Timeliness: Promotions are delivered according to agreed calendars and campaign timelines.

• Omnichannel consistency: Promotional campaigns are consistently executed across customer-facing touchpoints.

• Governance compliance: Promotional activity follows approval, brand and operational governance processes.

• Stakeholder satisfaction: Positive feedback from Commercial, Category, Marketing and partner teams.

• Team leadership & execution: Effective team coordination, delivery quality and workload management
