About the Role
Wipro seeks a Project Technical Lead / Domain Architect to drive end‑to‑end cloud infrastructure design and deployment for telecom solutions, including OpenStack, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. The role requires deep telco domain knowledge (4G/5G call flows, Paco, IMS, SDM, OSS, Analytics) and strong bilingual communication in Japanese and English, based in Japan. What You'll Do

Serve as the primary project contact point in Japan for technical delivery, scheduling, progress reviews, and customer updates.

Coordinate with local TDLs, MS PM, subcon POCs, and engineers; act as bridge between domain leads and partners locally.

Own demands, scheduling, task assignment, and performance KPIs; collaborate with Program Leader to meet remotesation/offshoring targets.

Lead weekly subcon project reviews and track action items.

Coordinate with domain leads to address training needs for subcon engineers.

Coordinate with engineers on backlogs and status updates; liaise with Global L3 for SF tickets; monitor performance and ticket loads.

Provide translation support for remote engineers or domains; handle technical training needs for new resources joining Telecom projects.

Liaise with subcon POC and engineers, manage escalations, and report to customer in a timely manner.

Follow LNI process with engineers and track certification compliance.

Coordinate Commercial site access (KDDI group 3 and 4) and support Wipro remote engineers. What We're Looking For

8+ years of experience with at least 2+ years as Technical Project Manager.

Strong communication, team leadership, analytical, and presentation skills.

Hands-on experience in end-to-end design and deployment of Cloud Infrastructure on OpenStack, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

Deep knowledge of 4G/5G call flows and telco domain knowledge on Paco, IMS, SDM, OSS, Analytics.

Prior technical management experience and Cloud Infrastructure Deployment and Support.

Proficient with Linux, VMware, Docker & Containers, OpenStack, OpenShift.

Excellent communication skills and ability to manage end customers and stakeholders.

Bilingual English and Japanese; JLPT N2 or above. Nice to Have

Ability to design/create HLD/LLD for telecom product deployments as per customer solutions.

Exposure to installing, upgrading, and integrating Cloud Infra products in Telco Infrastructure On-premises or DC Cloud.

Troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues (Servers, Storage, Network devices).

Training and mentoring for subcontractor resources; strong customer-facing capabilities.
