About this role

About the Role Acting as the main responsible for all procurement related activities within a core project team for OHB System AG's satellite projects. Lead procurement, supplier selection, and contract management for dedicated space programs, and supervise a team of subcontract managers. Regularly engage with suppliers, participate in reviews, and report progress to project and line management. What You'll Do

  • Act as the main responsible for all procurement related activities within a core project team for a satellite project.
  • Initiate, coordinate, implement and monitor procurement of equipment and subsystems for the project.
  • Select suitable suppliers and subcontractors in direct negotiation, restricted or open competition.
  • Lead a team of subcontract managers; establish tender documentation (RFPs, ITTs, draft contracts); organize Tender Evaluation Boards; support in ATPs, LOLs, Preliminary Order Letters; negotiate Change Requests and perform Contract Change Management.
  • Supervise contract compliance (quality, time and costs).
  • Regular visits to suppliers across Europe and worldwide; participate in project reviews and progress meetings.
  • Report to the project manager (monthly progress and status reports) and to the Head of Project Procurement Management (line manager). What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or comparable qualifications.
  • Several years of project management experience with emphasis on financial management and contract management, preferably in the space industry.
  • High technical affinity to understand technical requirements; self-confidence and excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Enhanced analytical and organizational skills, economic way of thinking.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English; knowledge of German is preferable. Nice to Have
