About this role
Careers / Project Services
Leads the project function across MSP and Low Voltage: owns delivery from planning through closeout, manages the project team, sets and enforces the methodology every project runs on, and holds scope, schedule, and cost across the portfolio.
Leadership Role Full-Time Tucson, AZ Mid-Senior Travel required
About this role
The Project Manager owns the operational system that moves every project from sold to delivered: on time, on budget, and to standard. You will run structured cabling, physical security, and IT projects from planning through closeout, lead the people who deliver them, and own the methodology the whole function works to.
This is a hands-on leadership seat, not an administrative one. You will carry your own projects and you will also lead, manage, and hold accountable the project personnel supporting MSP and Low Voltage work, including the Project Coordinator. You will decide how projects get initiated, scheduled, resourced, and closed, and you will hold the line on that standard when a job gets tight.
You will work in the Unió App, the project and portfolio platform we are building in house, and it is genuinely a work in progress. Some of it is live today, some is still manual, and the process around it is being streamlined as we go. Where we are headed is a system that carries the schedule, the cost and resource data, and the cost-performance reporting, so the job becomes judgment about what the numbers are saying rather than assembling them by hand. Getting there depends on someone using it in earnest and telling us what actually helps, and that is part of this role rather than a side project.

What you'll do
-
Own the full project lifecycle for structured cabling, physical security, IT onboarding, and IT maintenance projects, from planning through closeout
-
Lead, manage, and hold accountable the project personnel supporting MSP and Low Voltage, including the Project Coordinator; set expectations, develop the team, and hit departmental targets
-
Own the project management system and methodology end to end: initiate every project, keep schedules accurate, assign and track remote and on-site resources, and hold the standard across all Low Voltage and IT work
-
Hold scope, budget, and cost on every engagement, and steward the operations budget for the project function so resources are allocated efficiently across MSP and Low Voltage
-
Run the weekly portfolio review: work the exception list, give every active project a disposition, and escalate the ones that need a decision
-
Serve as the primary project interface for clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
-
Own new client onboarding as a process, from initiation through transition, so every client gets a consistent and repeatable experience
-
Lead project kickoffs, Tucson-area site meetings, feasibility surveys, progress reviews, and closeout walkthroughs
-
Manage risks, change orders, delivery issues, client acceptance, disputes, and release of project resources
-
Coordinate with procurement so materials arrive on time, meet project requirements, and remain within budget
-
Keep project data clean and current in the Unió App so cost, schedule, and profitability reporting can be trusted without rework
-
Report project and portfolio status, risk, budget, and profitability to the leadership team
-
Conduct post-project evaluations and turn lessons learned into specific improvements to the methodology
-
What we're looking for
-
Demonstrated experience managing projects across the full lifecycle under a formal project management methodology, not just coordinating tasks
-
Experience managing people: setting expectations, developing a team, and holding others accountable to a standard
-
Working knowledge of earned value and cost-control concepts (budget at completion, estimate to complete, cost and schedule variance) and the judgment to act on what they indicate. Deep EVMS specialization is not required; the Unió App is being built to carry the data and the reporting, and you will help shape how that works
-
PMP certification or demonstrated command of formal project management principles
-
Ability to manage several active projects and competing priorities without losing detail
-
Client-oriented judgment, clear problem-solving, and a commitment to high-quality service
-
Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, and project-documentation skills
-
Comfortable working primarily inside project management software and holding a team to using it correctly
-
Experience in structured cabling, physical security, IT, telecommunications, or commercial construction is preferred, not required
-
Eligible to work in the U.S., based in or relocating to Tucson, and able to meet the published travel requirements
-
We Do It Right

Our Core Values
-
These four values are the same on every role. They describe how the team operates, not the duties of this posting.
-
Dream Big, Then Make It Real
-
Bring the ambitious idea, then do the work that makes it real. Ambition counts here, and so does follow-through.
-
Client Driven Results
-
Your scoreboard is the client's result. Find the solution, own the outcome, and treat their success as the job.
-
Own Your Progress
-
You own your work, your misses, and your next skill. We help. We do not hide from problems.
-
We Do It Right
-
Do the correct thing even when no one is watching. Quality is the job, not a slogan.
