Job title: Project Manager - Ubuntu Embedded Systems
About the Role As a Project Manager for Canonical’s Devices business, you will coordinate and deliver large, complex, customer-facing projects. You will serve as the primary delivery liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and customers, overseeing all aspects of project delivery and ensuring successful Ubuntu image deployments across devices such as robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate cross-functional project delivery from initiation to closure for embedded Ubuntu deployments.
- Manage scope, timelines, risk, budgets, and quality for customer-facing projects.
- Liaise between customers, engineers, and partners/vendors (including silicon vendors) to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with team members, customers, and partners; facilitate status communications and governance reviews.
- Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high visibility for senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements for device-related projects.
