About the Role
As a Project Manager for Canonical’s Devices business, this role is responsible for the coordination and completion of large, complex customer-facing projects, overseeing all aspects of project delivery and acting as the primary delivery liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and Canonical's customers. You will be managing the projects that involve the delivery of Ubuntu images on a wide variety of devices ranging from robots, edge gateways, and IoT devices to PCs and automotive systems.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and manage large, complex, customer-facing projects from initiation to delivery within Canonical's Devices business.
- Serve as the primary delivery liaison between Canonical's engineering teams and customers to ensure clear communication and alignment.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Ubuntu images across devices including robots, edge gateways, IoT devices, PCs, and automotive systems.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with team members, customers, and external partners/vendors to facilitate project success.
- Ensure project strategy, scope, timelines, and quality standards are consistently met through cross-functional collaboration and effective stakeholder management.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing large, complex, customer-facing projects.
- Ability to act as a primary liaison between engineering teams and customers, translating technical requirements into deliverables.
- Experience delivering software/images for embedded across multiple device types (robots, edge gateways, IoT, PCs, automotive).
- Strong relationship-building and vendor management skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration in a distributed/global environment.
