About the Role

We are seeking a professional to join a highly skilled team of project managers and engineers to lead multi-discipline projects. This role will manage the project within the framework of budget, time schedule, quality, and scope, contributing to overall sales results and customer satisfaction. The candidate will coordinate and coach the project team to improve performance by building teams, training, and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency and boost morale. This is a customer-facing position. You will kickoff the project with the customer via virtual or in-person meetings and continue to develop the customer relationship from a project execution and implementation perspective. This position is located in Vernon Hills, IL or Toronto, Canada. Travel is project-dependent with approximately 25% of the time.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the project within the budget, time schedule, quality, and scope, contributing to sales results and customer satisfaction

  • Coordinate and coach the project team to improve performance by building teams, training, and motivating to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency and boost morale

  • This is a customer-facing role; kick off the project with the customer via virtual or in-person meetings and continue to develop the customer relationship from an execution/implementation perspective

  • Travel approximately 25% depending on project

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across US/Canada locations

  • What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; minimum 5 years of experience in engineering and managing projects

  • Experience with food processing and/or packaging equipment

  • Previous customer-facing experience preferred

  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, SAP, AutoCAD

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills; negotiation abilities; ability to navigate political and cultural situations

  • Industry regulatory knowledge (PMO, 3A, OSHA, CFR-113, UL, cUL, CRN, etc.)

  • Experience with budgeting, fiscal management, and project planning

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Knowledge of dairy, beverage, cheese, and powder processing preferred

  • PMP certification preferred

  • Nice to Have

  • PMP certification preferred

Salary

Range: USD 103,800 – 148,100; CAD 110,800 - 158,200 depending on location

  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus: eligible for 10% of ABS
