ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Lead software engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale, cloud-native solutions in Lisbon. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, technical leadership and program delivery. It suits someone who builds strong teams and grows future leaders. This is a 12-month project starting in November 2026.
PROJECT & CONTEXT
- You’ll manage engineering teams in a cloud-native environment covering microservices, distributed systems and data and analytics platforms.
- You’ll balance delivery commitments with technical direction and team development.
- You’ll build strong partnerships across both technical and business organizations.
- The work model is hybrid, with 3 days per week on-site in Lisbon and regular working hours.
- The selection process includes an interview with the client.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Required)
- Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams in a cloud-native environment
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system design, API development, microservices and distributed systems
- Solid knowledge of data engineering and analytics platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices, observability and reliability engineering, and security and secure development practices
- Experience managing software engineering teams that deliver enterprise-scale solutions
- Proven ability to balance people leadership, technical leadership and program delivery
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing future leaders
- Ability to build strong partnerships across technical and business organizations
- Fluent English, written and spoken

- Experience with marketing technology, analytics platforms or campaign measurement
Compensation: €1900 – €3400/month net, depending on experience and seniority level.
