Job title: Project Manager
About the Role The Project Manager will be responsible for managing IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and within-budget delivery. The ideal candidate should have 2 to 5 years of IT project management experience, PMI/Agile education or certifications, and a college degree in Information Technology, Systems, or equivalent. The role requires strong communication and leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams, including a Scrum Master for data engineering backlog.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to Skyworks's Project Lifecycle Management methodology for all projects, including required processes, documentation, and approvals.
- Plan, execute, and close IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Serve as Scrum Master overseeing data engineering backlog, daily standups, sprint planning, demonstrations and retrospectives.
- Manage scope, schedule, and resource allocation; develop project schedules, identify critical path, estimate at completion, and project earned value to measure against scope, schedule, quality, and cost KPIs.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; lead and motivate project teams with clear communication and collaboration.
- Monitor progress and adjust as necessary; update and report on project status every week; communicate status to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations.
- Business Analysis & Documentation: collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements; document workflows, processes, and decisions; support applications design, development, testing and deployment with clear and actionable functional and technical documentation.
What We're Looking For
- 2 to 5 years of IT project management experience; college degree in Information Technology, Systems or equivalent; PMI/Agile education or certifications.
- Strong understanding of managing project scope, schedule, cost and resource management; knowledge of PMI PMBOK and Agile methodologies.
- Scrum Master experience overseeing data engineering backlog; ability to lead teams, resolve issues, and communicate project status to leadership.
- Ability to identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder communications; familiarity with project performance metrics.
- Experience with Azure and/or other PPM tools is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Azure cloud experience and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tooling are desirable.
