Job title: Project Manager, Satellite Systems

About the Role Join MDA Space in Montreal as a Project Manager on the Satellite Systems team. You will oversee the program in its entirety, coordinating resources, schedules, risks, and client interfaces to deliver mission-critical satellite solutions.

What You'll Do

• Examine management requests and implement and plan the resources necessary to manage the program in its entirety, including coordination with other programs as needed.
• Negotiate, discuss, and reach agreement with the client on program requirements, objectives, funding, resources, and methods.
• Develop detailed schedules, monitor costs to date and forecasted, and implement contingency plans to meet cost and schedule targets.
• Identify and manage program risks and opportunities; maintain practical program control through regular reviews, design reviews, audits, recovery plan meetings, staff meetings, and program meetings.
• Provide technical and administrative guidance, direction, and decision-making support to the program team.
• Maintain program visibility with the client through regular technical, management, and progress reviews, and keep senior management informed via monthly program reviews and briefings as needed.
• Establish a framework of capable subcontractors and suppliers in collaboration with the supply chain to meet procurement requirements throughout the program lifecycle.

What We're Looking For

• Three years of experience in program/project management or project engineering in a related technical field.
• Mechanical or electrical engineering degree or similar, bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Experience in negotiations, risk management, contract management, subcontractor contracts, finances, and ITAR regulations in the United States.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; teamwork mindset; proactive, dynamic, resourceful, and autonomous.
• Excellent communication abilities and capacity to engage with all levels of the company and external clients.
• Flexibility and openness to change.
