- Introduction
- We are seeking a Project Manager / Release Manager to support a planned Workday Learning implementation. This role is ideal for an experienced Project Manager who is comfortable managing day-to-day delivery activities and has a strong interest in expanding their expertise into Workday.
- The successful candidate will initially focus on release management, ticket coordination, prioritization, and moving work through the delivery lifecycle. As the Workday Learning project begins in late February/early March, this individual will transition into a broader project leadership role supporting planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, change management, and implementation success.
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize project and operational tickets throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Lead daily stand-up meetings and maintain alignment across project team members.
- Coordinate work through the development and release process and ensure deliverables progress into production.
- Help prioritize incoming requests based on business needs, timelines, and available resources.
- Partner with customers and stakeholders to establish priorities and manage expectations, including appropriately pushing back on requests when necessary.
- Lead project planning, governance, and coordination for the upcoming Workday Learning implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project.
- Support change management, user adoption, and organizational readiness activities.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and help drive successful implementation outcomes.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- PMP certification required.
- Proven Project Management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other learning-related software.
- Ability to operate as a Release Manager, moving work through the process into production
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and effectively establish and communicate expectations.
- Comfortable working directly with customers and stakeholders and appropriately challenging or declining requests when needed.
- Ability and willingness to learn Workday and grow into a Workday Learning project leadership role.
- Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Agile project management experience.
- Experience supporting software implementations, releases, or technology transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Workday or other HR technology platforms.
