Job title: Project Manager - Life Invest

About the Role You work within the Life Invest domain on Belfius' project portfolio to grow Pension & Invest reserves while maintaining profitability and operational resilience. In this role, you initiate and coordinate strategic and transversal projects in line with the technology strategy for life insurance and the overall portfolio planning.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate strategic, cross-functional projects within Life Invest aligned with Belfius' technology strategy for life insurance and portfolio planning.
• Manage and coach a project team of functional analysts and developers working in Scrum; provide functional leadership and coordination; involve transversal members when needed.
• Exercise rigorous project management: deliver on time, within budget and quality constraints; foster team synergy, continuous improvement and autonomy; promote a culture of constructive feedback.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives; provide structured communication and reporting.
• Operate in a multilingual environment and communicate fluently in Dutch or French with excellent English.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in project management with mastery of methodologies and tools; track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and with defined quality.
• Domain knowledge: practical experience in insurance or banking, with understanding (or willingness to learn) of life insurance, technologies, products and operational processes.
• Stakeholder management: demonstrated ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring strategic alignment and structured reporting.
• You’ll score points with: testing techniques, change management, leadership, business case development, knowledge sharing and problem-solving.
• You work in a multilingual environment and communicate fluently in Dutch or French with excellent English.

Nice to Have

• Deep knowledge of testing methodologies and scenario development with test teams and end users.
• Experience evaluating and implementing process and tool improvements with a focus on continuous optimization.
• Strong leadership with knowledge sharing and delegation of responsibilities; active development of team members.
• Experience developing, challenging and Justifying business cases; active involvement in strategic domain projects.
• Promoting a culture of knowledge transfer and best practices across the organization.
• Proactive identification and removal of obstacles and proactive incident management.
