Job title: Project Manager - Internal Transformation Projects
About the Role The Project Manager will lead the project team in executing internal transformation projects, including new product introduction & product transfers to achieve cost and time target and remove any barriers in realizing business objectives. This person should have strong communication skills and abundant practical experience, the ability to make sound judgments, and strong leadership skills to unite the will of all parties involved in the same direction.
What You'll Do
- Project Planning and Scheduling: Responsible for planning and scheduling product and manufacturing processes development projects, with timely monitoring of task progress and following up with stakeholders from equipment manufacturing to sample delivery and mass production ramp-up to ensure on-time, quality deliverables.
- Resource Management: Manages and allocates the project's resources (people, materials, systems and budget) by working with function leaders. Creates tooling strategy supporting long-term success and continuous improvement in tool delivery. Helps product management secure proper budget for the project.
- Project team coordination: Leads communication with stakeholders to clarify or adjust task priorities, deliverables, and roles/responsibilities to achieve project goals.
- Project progress support and risk management: Leads project progress with stakeholders; identifies and manages project risks and escalates issues to executives quickly to find solutions. Discusses project priorities, delivery dates, prototype and mass production locations with Product Management & Strategy, Sales and Plants. Contributes to development of short-term, mid-term and long-term growth strategies, including technology roadmaps and human resource development for the Manufacturing Engineering Division.
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial engineering background or equivalent.
- 8+ years of overall experience and 3+ years' experience in a project management role.
- Project Management Experience: Hands-on experience managing multiple projects and overcoming project challenges (Electrical component development projects).
- Communication Skill: Effective communication with team members and stakeholders; clear and timely communication for smooth decision making.
- Leadership: Team building and leadership skills to align the team toward the goal.
- Scheduling & Planning: Ability to set timelines, monitor progress, and re-prioritize with stakeholders.
- Risk management: Risk assessment, timely escalation, and leading discussions to create solutions.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of management systems (EMS/OHSMS, ISMS).
- Experience in connector/cable assembly or FPC products.
- Good understanding of Engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of connector and/or wiring harness design, manufacturing processes (stamping, mold, assembly, testing), and materials (terminals, connectors, wires).
- Familiarity with connector/harness tooling & fixture, assembly boards, and validation requirements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $120,000 - $140,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
