About the Role
The Project Manager leads the project team and partners with Field Management to deliver safe, high-quality, profitable projects for Conti Federal Services. You will be responsible for safety, cost control, scheduling, contract management and execution strategy while managing the project P&L and developing client relations.
What You'll Do
- Lead the project team and collaborate with Field Management to ensure safety, quality, and profitability.
- Develop and maintain the project schedule with the Superintendent; monitor progress and enforce the plan.
- Maximize cash flow by adhering to invoicing schedules and ensuring timely documentation of receivables, as-builts, change orders and claims.
- Manage costs against budgets; produce complete subcontracts and ensure subcontractors comply with agreements and company standards.
- Estimate, price, and negotiate owner-initiated changes and scope items to maximize profits.
- Actively develop client relations to generate opportunities for new work.
- Participate in Marketing and Estimating activities to develop capture plans, teaming strategies, technical approaches and bid strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must be a US citizen for security clearance requirements.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Five+ years of experience as a Project Manager on construction projects of similar size and scope.
- Ability to interpret critical path schedules and construction drawings/specifications.
- Demonstrated success managing complex construction projects, subcontractors, and changes; experience with cost-to-complete estimates and change orders.
- Background in project start-ups, subcontractor/vendor buyouts, and owner estimates.
- Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 and secure facility construction.
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and P6.
- Local candidates preferred.
