Growth (groei) is the beating heart of WPP Media. The way we pitch has changed and our competition has evolved, but one thing remains the same: we are strongest when we are brave, hungry and focused.
As Project Manager Growth you will support the growth of our agency through disciplined planning, organization and delivery of local, global and multi-market pitches and other new business opportunities. You bring structure and calm in periods with tight deadlines, own the planning and administration, coordinate stakeholders and monitor quality so all presentations and documents are delivered on time, complete and persuasive.
You are part of the Client Strategy organization within the Growth team and work according to our Winning Pitch Playbook. You help the team stay brave, hungry and focused by keeping everyone aligned, proactively reporting on progress and risks, and continuously improving the way we run pitches.
What will you do?
New Business Operations
-
Pitch planning and timeline: You own the backplanning, milestones and deadlines. You proactively drive actions and ensure everyone is aligned.
-
Pitch organization: You arrange logistics and practical matters (spaces/technology, portals for consultants, external agencies for design/translation) so the team can perform at their best.
-
Pitch administration: You ensure clear files, version control, NDAs and minutes; you always follow the correct administrative procedures.
-
Structure and overview: You create clear checklists, trackers and status updates to keep the pitch team organized.
-
Pitch materials: You produce persuasive pitch documents and ensure a consistent visual style (design) across all components.
Progress and stakeholders
-
Progress management with stakeholders: You plan proactive alignment moments with relevant disciplines to discuss status and feasibility.
-
Track progress: You monitor overall progress without losing important details. You raise issues in time that could affect delivery and make them discussable.
-
Adjust planning: You adjust the plan when scope or timing shifts and keep everyone informed of the current plan and priorities.
-
Work under pressure and stay calm: You maintain an overview during peak moments, set the right priorities and help the team stay focused.
Quality and substantive support
-
Quality control and editing: You check presentations and documents for language, spelling and consistency. You uphold brand guidelines and formatting standards.
-
Winning Pitch Playbook: You ensure the playbook from briefing to completion is followed and use templates and checklists to ensure consistency.
-
Representation of the agency: You are a professional and service-oriented point of contact from WPP Media to pitch consultants and potential clients.
Systems and data
-
Growth systems: You perform at a basic level using systems such as Growth Tracker, Comvergence and Nielsen to provide simple analyses and input for the pitch team.
-
Material library: You keep credentials, cases, references and formats up to date and encourage smart reuse.
-
Pitch archive: You ensure that all relevant documentation is archived neatly at the end of each pitch.
Onboarding and evaluation
-
Support during onboarding: After a won pitch you coordinate the administrative handover to the account teams (setting up accounts, access rights, documentation).
-
Evaluation of the pitch process: You organize a retrospective with the team, record improvements and share them.
-
Reporting: You proactively report on content and project status to the Senior Director Growth.

-
Client focus: Service-oriented, with a good balance between responsiveness, feasibility and team well-being.
-
Collective leadership: Facilitates collaboration between different departments and ensures everyone feels welcome and valued.
-
Responsibility: Sets clear expectations about roles, deliverables and timelines; follows through on agreements and escalates in a timely manner if needed.
-
Talent development: Shares templates and best practices; provides constructive feedback and helps less experienced team members grow.
-
Brave, hungry, focused: Shows the courage to raise issues, the drive to continuously improve the work and the focus to deliver what matters, within the deadline.
