Project Manager - Customer Adaptation

Job title: Project Manager - Customer Adaptation

About the Role As our new Project Manager you will be the face and the voice of Customer Adaptation in product projects and introductions – both locally within the Gent factory and regionally with other Volvo factories. You ensure CA is prepared in good time for new products and features so we can introduce them smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Proactively lead the preparation of Customer Adaptation for future projects, ensuring impact on capacity, investments and staffing is known well in advance.
• Translate project plans and timings into concrete actions and priorities for the CA-team.
• Build and maintain a strong network of stakeholders within the factory, the region and the global organization to represent CA’s interests in decision-making.
• Analyze the impact of product and process changes on the feasibility analysis, quotes and CA design activities.
• Coordinate workload forecasting and resource planning for CA within the projects you are involved in.
• Track progress against project milestones, identify risks early and escalate where needed.
• Report clearly and visually on the status of CA within the different projects.

What We're Looking For

• Affinity with engineering, production or customer adaptation processes, or genuine curiosity to learn.
• Experience with project management, ideally in a cross-functional or international environment.
• Familiar with project management methodologies such as PSM and/or DVP, or motivated to learn quickly.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both oral and written.
• Strong social and communication skills; comfortable representing your department to local and global stakeholders.
• Positive attitude and a true can-do mentality; a real team player.
• Structured, proactive, and takes initiative rather than waiting.
• Persuasive and diplomatic, but also a good listener.
• Ready for the next step? If you enjoy connecting people and projects and want to be the driving force that ensures CA sits at the table from day one, this is your chance to grow locally in Gent and globally.

Nice to Have

• Ambition to grow into a role with real impact – locally in Gent and on a global scale.
