What you will be doing
We are looking for an experienced Intermediate IT Project Manager to support the delivery of meaningful technology initiatives in a government environment. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact projects, partner with business and technical stakeholders, and build your career in a collaborative, purpose-driven team. In this role, you will help plan, coordinate, and deliver IT projects from initiation through to implementation and handover. You will work across business units, technical teams, and delivery partners to keep projects on track, manage risks and issues, and provide clear reporting to stakeholders and governance forums.
What will keep you busy
- Supporting the end to end delivery of IT projects that enable better government services
- Helping define scope, requirements, and deliverables with business and technical stakeholders
- Tracking progress, managing risks and issues, and supporting change control
- Assisting with budget tracking, resourcing, and vendor coordination
- Preparing clear, concise project reports for governance forums and senior stakeholders
- Ensuring project documentation is accurate, complete, and audit ready
- Contributing ideas to improve how projects are delivered across the organisation
The skills you will bring
- Application PM needed with 4+ years experience managing IT projects
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience working across IT delivery environments such as applications, digital
- A sound understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
