Job title: Project Manager
About the Role Project Manager will lead metal processing projects from engineering through delivery, coordinating with internal teams and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with a safety-first mindset. This role drives project execution in alignment with Andritz processes and industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan for each project identifying activities and tracking progress, following the Andritz Business Process Map for Project Execution.
- Manage projects across engineering, manufacturing, delivery, and construction; expediting internal and external sources to meet schedule and budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, procurement, finance, safety, quality) to set up new projects in SAP and to forecast using SAP/excel-based tools.
- Monitor project costs and report monthly on project execution progress and financial status.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks; manage NCR analysis and reporting to internal process owners.
- Ensure safety-first planning and coordinate with internal safety and quality teams.
- Travel to project site locations as needed in the US and globally.
What We're Looking For
- BS degree in mechanical, chemical, metallurgical, or electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years working experience in the metals or industrial environment as a project engineer or project manager.
- Ability to read and interpret contracts and project requirements.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively on various levels, verbally and in writing; problem solving; solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking.
- Ability to assess problem situations, gather and process relevant information, generate solutions, and make recommendations.
Nice to Have
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project and AutoCAD.
