As a Project Lead (f/m/d) – SAP Master Data Governance, you lead the Master Data Governance capability within our S/4HANA transformation program and drive the continuous development of SAP MDG solutions for Business Partner, Finance, and Material master data. You ensure compliance with enterprise-wide data standards, regulatory requirements, and sustainable data quality while establishing master data as the single source of truth across the organization. You coordinate the delivery of MDG requirements into templates and rollout programs, represent the capability in governance forums, and collaborate closely with senior stakeholders on strategic initiatives. In parallel, you safeguard a stable, scalable, and audit-compliant MDG platform within a complex global transformation environment.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • End-to-end ownership of the global MDG capability, including master data governance, data models, processes, solution architecture, roadmap management, and alignment with S/4HANA, PLM, Data Governance, and enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Definition and enforcement of master data standards, governance frameworks, data quality requirements, Clean Core principles, Key Design Decisions (KDDs), and cross-functional collaboration models across Business Areas and Global Functions
  • Leadership and steering of international MDG teams, resource and capacity planning, vendor and partner management, stakeholder engagement, and escalation management within a complex global environment
  • Governance and delivery oversight for MDG-related template developments, rollout activities, release management, implementation prioritisation, testing readiness, cutover coordination, and operational handover to service organisations
  • Ownership of data quality, compliance, and audit frameworks, including KPI management, regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, solution stability, and governance of MDG-managed business partner, finance, and material master data
  • Representation of the MDG capability within executive governance bodies, steering committees, programme boards, and business forums, including advocacy for master data management, change management, and enterprise-wide data governance practices

What You Bring

  • Extensive professional experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Master Data Governance (MDG), and enterprise data governance within complex global organizations, ideally covering Business Partner, Finance, and Material master data domains
  • Proven leadership and delivery experience in large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation, template, and rollout programs, including capability ownership, cross-functional coordination, and organizational change management
  • Strong expertise in SAP MDG solutions and frameworks, including data models, workflows, BRF+, data replication concepts, governance processes, integration architectures, and S/4HANA template principles
  • In-depth knowledge of data quality management, data governance, migration, and integration methodologies, including KPI-driven governance frameworks, remediation processes, and SAP/non-SAP landscape integration
  • Solid understanding of regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements, including financial controls, data protection standards, customs and trade regulations, and risk management in enterprise data environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making capabilities, combined with international leadership experience, vendor management expertise, a solution-oriented mindset, and professional fluency in English; German language skills are advantageous
