About this role
What you'll do
-
We're hiring a Project Finance Manager to own the execution side of our project debt. Our capital team and advisers structure and arrange each financing. You'll be the person inside Giga who gets each facility closed and keeps it in good standing afterward.
-
That means reading the credit agreement, turning it into a clear list of deliverables and deadlines, and driving everyone involved to closing. After closing, you'll own draw requests, lender reporting, and covenant compliance, and you'll be the day-to-day contact for our lenders. You'll work with our in-house legal team on the documents, and with accounting, project controls, and construction on the evidence behind each draw.
-
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with real ownership. As the portfolio grows from a few facilities to many, there is a clear path to lead a team and a much larger book.
-
Where you'll work
-
This role is based in Austin, TX or New York City, NY. You will work at our co-work space.
Responsibilities
-
Closing. Build and run the closing checklist and conditions-precedent tracker for each facility. Coordinate deliverables across Legal, engineering, accounting, outside counsel, and lenders through funding.
-
Draws and funding. Prepare draw requests and funding notices with complete supporting evidence, and work them through lender and independent-engineer approval.
-
Reporting and compliance. Own the compliance calendar, lender reporting packages, and compliance certificates for every facility you administer, with no missed deadlines.
-
Models and schedules. Keep lender models and funding schedules accurate as costs, schedules, and equipment deliveries change, and check adviser work before it goes to lenders.
-
Lender relationships. Serve as Giga's day-to-day borrower-side contact for lenders, agents, and the independent engineer.
-
Changes. Spot when an amendment, waiver, or consent is needed and coordinate the process with Legal.
-
Process. Build repeatable procedures so administration scales cleanly as facilities are added.
Requirements
-
Hands-on experience taking multiple project financings or credit facilities through closing, ideally on the borrower side.
-
Can read a project credit agreement independently and turn it into deliverables, deadlines, and owners.
-
Experience preparing draw requests and keeping lender models and funding schedules accurate as costs, schedules, and deliveries change.
-
Ownership of post-close lender reporting and covenant compliance for one or more facilities.
-
Runs a multi-party process across lenders, counsel, engineers, accounting, and internal teams with steady follow-through.
-
Most people in this role will have roughly four to eight years of experience. Many strong candidates come from renewable energy developers, portfolio owners, and infrastructure funds, and some from lenders or construction-heavy real estate. Data center experience is not required.
Bonus points
-
Borrower-side solar, wind, storage, or other renewables project finance.
-
Construction loans and construction-to-term conversion.
-
Building repeatable loan-administration procedures, including automation with source checks.
-
Interest in growing into a team lead as the portfolio grows.
