Project Engineer

About the Role Join Alstom in a key post‑sales engineering role within a cutting‑edge rail environment. You will lead post‑sales/post‑warranty engineering and technical support across modernization, overhaul, and repair projects, ensuring safe, reliable, and high‑performing transportation solutions throughout the asset lifecycle. You will act as the engineering focal point for customer projects after entry into service, coordinating with internal teams and Alstom Services NAM and other global units to meet contractual commitments and manage risks. What You'll Do

• Coordinate all engineering activities related to post‑sales/post‑warranty customer support across multiple, multi‑site projects
• Act as the primary technical interface with customers on engineering matters
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements
• Manage engineering budgets and ensure cost efficiency
• Deliver projects on time and in line with quality commitments
• Identify, assess, and manage risks and opportunities related to the engineering scope
• Support tendering activities as Technical Bid Leader, when required What We're Looking For
• Engineering degree or related field (equivalent experience may substitute for formal education)
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in engineering project management, ideally in a customer‑facing environment
• Experience in the railway sector, particularly in rolling stock design, modernization, or in‑service support, strongly preferred
• Proven experience managing complex projects with direct customer interaction
• Strong management, coordination, and cross‑functional leadership skills
• Fluency in English required
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within the NAM region, with occasional travel to Europe Nice to Have
• Knowledge of a third language is considered an asset
• In Quebec, French remains the primary working language; proficiency in English is required for international collaboration, and additional language skills are assets Compensation & Benefits
