We surround our technologists with interesting challenges, innovative minds, and emerging technologies.

We are looking for a front-end-focused Drupal developer to join our team. This role is responsible for building accessible, responsive, and maintainable user experiences in Drupal, with particular emphasis on theming with Twig, reusable components, and Storybook-driven front-end development.

The ideal candidate has strong HTML and CSS skills, a solid understanding of Drupal’s theme layer, and significant experience translating designs into component-based interfaces. Experience with JavaScript and Solr is preferred.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Drupal configuration and site-building concepts and experience with Composer, NPM, Git, MySQL, Agile delivery, and the software development lifecycle.

Although the role is primarily front-end focused, some back-end Drupal work is required, including implementing preprocess hooks in PHP.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Drupal themes using Twig, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development practices
  • Build reusable, component-based user interfaces and document components in Storybook
  • Translate designs and interaction requirements into responsive, accessible, cross-browser experiences
  • Work within Drupal’s theme layer, including template suggestions, libraries, render arrays, and preprocess hooks
  • Support Drupal configuration and site-building activities, including content types, fields, views, displays, and contributed modules
  • Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, vendors, and stakeholders throughout design, development, testing, and deployment
  • Use Git, Composer, and NPM to manage source code, Drupal dependencies, and front-end packages
  • Use AI agents to accelerate front-end development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting while maintaining code quality and appropriate human review
  • Troubleshoot defects and improve front-end quality, performance, maintainability, accessibility, and security

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of professional experience developing Drupal 8+ or Drupal 9/10 solutions

  • Significant hands-on experience with Drupal theming, Twig templates, template suggestions, asset libraries, and the Drupal theme layer

  • Advanced proficiency in semantic HTML and modern CSS, including responsive web design and cross-browser compatibility

  • Experience with component-based front-end architecture and Storybook

  • Working knowledge of PHP and experience implementing or maintaining Drupal preprocess hooks

  • Understanding of Drupal configuration management and site-building concepts, including content types, fields, Views, displays, and contributed modules

  • Experience with Git, Composer, and NPM in a collaborative development environment

  • Familiarity with MySQL and relational database concepts

  • Understanding of Agile methodology and the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance

  • Strong collaboration, communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

  • JavaScript experience is preferred; jQuery experience is not required

  • Experience using AI coding agents to accelerate software development, with sound judgment around validation, security, maintainability, and human oversight

  • Experience with Solr or Drupal Search API is helpful but not required
