Job title: Project Controller-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)

NextEra Energy’s Engineering & Construction (E&C) Project Controls team is seeking a contract accounting professional to develop and implement processes for tracking inventory and storage costs while supporting core accounting and project controls activities. This role will help ensure project-related financial transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and reported.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain processes for tracking inventory and storage costs.
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries.
• Complete monthly accruals and account reconciliations.
• Track and monitor invoices to support timely processing and payment.
• Support month-end close activities and financial reporting.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and document accounting procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.
• Strong accounting background with experience supporting project-related financial activities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail Orientated.
• Highly skilled in Excel.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• SAP experience is required.
• SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ) experience is preferred.
• Power BI experience is preferred.
