About this role

About the Role Project Buyer in Shanghai to lead supplier nomination, RFQ management and cross-functional project development for GRAMMER's automotive interiors and seating systems. You will drive cost, quality and delivery performance to help realize innovative mobility solutions. What You'll Do

  • Steer supplier nomination and project development activities within projects to ensure alignment with regional EBIT targets.
  • Manage the Project Acquisition Booklet (Purchasing Function) to assure acceptable EBIT according to regional targets.
  • Organize technical reviews in RFQ phase, transfer technical specs to suppliers, ensure feasibility studies and full evaluation in Grammer function teams for nomination.
  • Lead supplier nomination in sourcing tables, including Astras RFQ and IST/RST sheet.
  • Work toward best payment terms, MOQs, lead times, and other terms.
  • Ensure supplier contracts are completed on time.
  • Generate concepts for stabilization, steering and securing supplier quality, quantities, and on-time deliveries.
  • Execute RFPs and evaluate offers within technical and economical aims.
  • Responsible for Project Track Booklet and PMC review.
  • Track BOM cost to achieve best price before project handover.
  • Monitor supplier development including timing, quality and serial production readiness (R @ R, PPAP) through APQP matrix with cross-functional team.
  • Maintain good communication with international customers and suppliers.
  • Support value analyses; design to cost and target costing for new projects.
  • Provide project reporting regarding budget compliance, target costing, schedules and purchasing volumes.
  • Other tasks assigned by Manager or Director. What We're Looking For
  • Industrial engineering or technical business economist bachelor or above.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Seating Purchasing role; deep knowledge on trucks preferred.
  • Proficient in English (speaking and writing).
  • Supplier quality or technical design role preferred.
  • Familiar with Excel, PowerPoint and SAP.
  • Active and effective communication; strong ability to understand and identify.
  • Brave attitude and resilient spirit; good teamwork and organization. Nice to Have
  • Experience in supplier quality or technical design role.
