About the Role
Ultimus Holdings, a Nigerian construction and real estate development company, is seeking a Project Architect to supervise construction activities, monitor structural and architectural works, and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across the project site.
- Monitor subcontractors, artisans, and site personnel to ensure compliance with work schedules and quality standards.
- Plan daily and weekly activities in line with project milestones.
- Identify site constraints, delays, and construction challenges, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain site discipline, housekeeping, and coordination of work areas.
- Monitor structural works, including reinforcement fixing, formwork, concrete placement, and blockwork.
- Verify completed works against approved structural drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and obtain structural engineer approvals before critical activities, including concrete pours.
- Identify defects and deviations and refer technical issues to the relevant structural engineer.
- Supervise architectural works, including plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, painting, ceilings, doors, windows, and other finishes.
- Ensure materials, workmanship, dimensions, levels, and finishes meet approved standards.
- Review architectural drawings, resolve site execution issues with consultants, and ensure defects are corrected promptly.
