Job Summary
- Oversee the financial management, cost monitoring, and reporting of company projects.
- The successful candidate will ensure accurate project accounting, effective budgetary control, proper documentation of project expenditures, and compliance with company financial policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
- Prepare project financial reports, cost analyses, budget variance reports, and expenditure summaries.
- Track project-related expenses, commitments, invoices, payments, and outstanding liabilities.
- Ensure accurate recording and allocation of project costs in line with approved budgets and accounting standards.
- Reconcile project accounts, supplier statements, payment schedules, and supporting financial documents.
- Work closely with the Projects, Procurement, Engineering, and Finance teams to validate project costs and monitor spending.
- Support project budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial planning, and cost-control initiatives.
- Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness, and compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience, preferably in project accounting, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or agribusiness.
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost control, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
