About the Role OPmobility seeks a Program Manager to lead project definition and execution for automotive lighting and electrification programs. You will manage the project plan, total development budget, and master schedule, and you will coordinate core team members to ensure profitability and alignment with customer objectives from quote to delivery. What You'll Do
- Lead the project plan and total development budget in accordance with the Customer Statement Of Work and validated scope.
- Establish and manage the master timing plan and consolidate core team planning to conform to customer and internal timing plans (starting from quote).
- Lead core team work packages and their development budgets in line with project objectives and scope.
- Be responsible for the profitability of the project and set targets for core team members (development hours, investments, cash flow, Costs of Non Quality).
- At project end, assess status against objectives and feed back lessons learned.
- Organize project meetings, reviews, and end-of-phase reviews with all core team members; review status and follow up on action plans.
- Manage deviations from the planned Project Plan and validate actions proposed by core team members to realign; consolidate risks, threats and opportunities across departments.
- Monitor project reporting to manage escalation of issues and risks; consolidate global project status and ensure accountability of core teams for deliverables.
- Maintain financial control/reporting of the project budget using standard tools; monitor cash flow and profitability for program reviews; manage expenditures versus budget.
- Challenge the team to choose optimal technical and manufacturing solutions to meet design-to-cost objectives; provide periodic progress and risk reports to program director, plant director, department managers and sales director.
- Coordinate communications with the customer; ensure customer deliverables (customer approval, APQP, build deliveries, etc.) are delivered and report progress per the Statement Of Work; support negotiation of scope changes.
- Support continuous improvement within departments and mentor others; cascade knowledge and practices to junior program managers.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are respected throughout the project. What We're Looking For
- +5 years of experience (Experience +5 Years) and a Bachelor Degree.
- Bilingual.
- Proven ability to lead project teams, manage budgets, schedules, and customer-facing communications.
- Experience with project governance, risk management, and delivering complex engineering programs.
- Familiarity with APQP and automotive development processes is a plus. Nice to Have
- Ability to mentor junior program managers.
- Familiarity with APQP and related customer deliverables.
