About the Role The Program Manager leads the design, development, and management of training programs for allied research personnel (ARP) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Working within TRANSFORM, this role translates research priorities into actionable training plans, manages risks, coordinates resources, and ensures regulatory alignment across CUIMC. What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and delivery of ARP trainings and related events (open houses, luncheons, road shows, poster sessions, workshops, seminars).
  • Collaborate with research leadership, investigators, and operational partners to develop milestones and execute the full project scope.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources, monitor progress, report metrics, and use data to inform decision making.
  • Collect and analyze data for administrative, operational, and research decisions; validate, visualize, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop curricula for ARP trainings; manage events and create a mentorship program; ensure compliance with organizational training policies (HIPAA, infection control, EH&S, OSHA).
  • Lead communication strategies, draft promotional materials and hub website content; maintain CUIMC ARP training presence (CROWN Teams site).
  • Foster relationships across CUIMC staff, faculty, and research administration to support training initiatives. What We're Looking For
  • Experience in project management and training program development for clinical or research settings.
  • Strong data analysis, metrics reporting, and ability to present findings to governance groups.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple offices and establish stakeholder relationships; strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, patient privacy, and applicable institutional policies.
  • Prior experience in an academic medical center or clinical research operations; mentorship or coaching skills.
  • Self-motivated, able to translate priorities into actionable plans with accountability. Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with NIH CTS/NIH-NCATS CTS Award reporting and related funding metrics.
  • Experience with CUIMC’s POD organization, CROWN network, or training program development in academic medical centers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams or other collaboration platforms; event management experience. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary Range: $91,350-$110,000 per year. The salary is described as a good faith estimate and may be adjusted based on budgets, qualifications, and experience.
