About the Role The Program Coordinator provides support to the Assistant Director with program operations and monitoring to ensure compliance with grant requirements. This is a renewable eleven-month position funded by a grant. What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily operations and monitor program activities to ensure grant compliance with Stockton Unified School District.
- Provide oversight, direction, and support to student and temporary casual employees; ensure satisfactory attendance, performance and problem solving.
- Create and monitor schedules; assign and review work; substitute as an after-school program staff when necessary.
- Communicate with the Assistant Director daily, weekly and monthly on program operations through written and verbal means.
- Assist the Program Director in determining staffing for site locations, hiring and placement, training and coaching student and temporary casual employees.
- Assist in payroll, monitoring program budget and other administrative duties.
- Compose and prepare letters, correspondence, special reports, technical papers and presentations.
- Attend meetings and take minutes for review and/or distribution.
- Liaison between University of the Pacific and Stockton Unified School District.
- Assist in recruitment of student and temporary casual employees.
- Monitor office equipment, facilities and duplicating services ensuring all are operational and have no need of repair.
- Order unit’s supplies, repair of equipment and facilities when needed or requested.
- Respond to unit personnel on general inquiries and provides information to those the unit serves.
- Maintain a variety of department records both electronically and manually including but not limited to class enrollments, student records and areas of compliance.
- Recommends new procedures for streamlining administrative duties or office functions.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested. What We're Looking For
- Associate’s Degree or sixty (60) units of completed post-secondary education coursework; three (3) years of experience in educational tutoring or after school programs.
- Excellent organizational, time management skills and strong problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer office software including word-processing, spreadsheet applications and mail merge functions; PowerPoint or similar programs highly desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, departments, and others.
- Excellent phone & customer service skills, office organization, and records management skills.
- Familiarity with basic budget and bookkeeping procedures; web content management desired.
- Positive attitude, proven ability to work successfully with diverse populations and demonstrated commitment to promote and enhance diversity and inclusion.
- Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures; demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting; ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work. Nice to Have
- PowerPoint or similar programs; web content management experience.

- Hiring range: $21 - $26 per hour.
