  • Position Summary PURPOSE OF POSITION:
  • Under general supervision, the Program Coordinator provides guidance, oversight, technical advisement, and coordination for the identified evidence-based program, ensuring program integrity, community engagement, and alignment with grant and agency objectives. This role serves as a primary point of contact for participants, partners, and community stakeholders, promoting engagement, collaboration, and positive outcomes across all organizational efforts.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides oversight and coordination for assigned programs to ensure effective delivery, alignment with organizational goals, and fidelity to evidence-based or best-practice models.

  • Builds and sustains positive relationships with community partners, participants, and stakeholders to enhance participation, collaboration, and program impact.

  • Ensures accurate collection, documentation, and reporting of program data to meet grant, funding, and organizational requirements.

  • Supports, guides, and oversees facilitators, volunteers, and other program staff to maintain consistent quality and participant experience.

  • Promotes program awareness through community engagement, presentations, and communication strategies that strengthen visibility and partnerships.

  • Links participants to appropriate services and resources that advance health, stability, and overall well-being.

  • Contributes to program evaluation, strategic planning, and process improvement efforts to enhance effectiveness and sustainability.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Education, Experience, and Licensing

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • At least two years of relevant professional experience, including office, administrative, or program coordination roles.

  • Valid Washington State Driver’s License: Must have a safe reliable vehicle with proof of automobile insurance.

  • Background Check: Must have an acceptable background report, at time of hire and every three years afterward.

  • Driving Abstract: Must have an acceptable driving report.

  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary qualifications to successfully perform the duties of the position will be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, public health, education, or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, with the ability to speak and write in both languages.

  • Physical Abilities and Working Conditions

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is often performed under deadlines and may involve shifting priorities, particularly during peak program periods.
  • Includes evening and weekend hours as needed to meet program schedules.
  • The majority of work is performed in an indoor setting.
  • Off-site work required in community locations where program is delivered

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Frequently sits at a computer workstation to perform administrative tasks, data entry, and reporting.

  • Regularly communicates in person, by phone, and in writing with staff, participants, and community partners.

  • Occasionally drives between program locations.

  • Must be able to move throughout community and program environments and occasionally lift, carry, or transport materials weighing up to 35 pounds for program setup and events.

  • Frequently types, writes, and uses office equipment to prepare materials, correspondence, and reports.
