Program Buyer with a mechanical/plastics background and 12-15 years of experience in New Product Development, supplier management, and managing new projects. You will lead supplier selection and performance against quality, cost, and timing targets, including cash-out management. You will leverage SAP MM for PO generation and drive complex RFQ activities and sourcing recommendations.
Independently handle New Project & New Product Developments (NPD) for mechanical/plastics programs. Manage supplier selection, nomination, and ongoing supplier relationships to meet quality, cost and schedule targets. Ensure cash-out management and monitor procurement spend to support project financial targets. Gather key information for complex RFQs, identify market constraints, set targets and schedules. Negotiate with suppliers on quality, cost and deadlines; propose and compare alternative sourcing solutions. Present sourcing recommendations to the Sourcing Board.
12-15 years of experience in New Product Development, supplier management, and new projects. Background in mechanical or plastics fields. Proficiency with SAP MM and generation of Purchase Orders. Experience with RFQ processes, market analysis, and negotiations. Ability to work independently on projects and coordinate with the Sourcing Board. Strong communication and supplier-management skills; track record of delivering quality, cost and timing objectives. Knowledge of cash-out management.
