Overview
The University of Delaware invites applications for a part-time Program Assistant in the College of Education and Human Development. This role supports the Center for Excellence and Equity in Teacher Preparation (CEETP) in Newark, DE. The position is 15-20 hours per week with day schedule, some travel and occasional weekend commitments. Anticipated start date is September 14, 2026, with a pay rate of approximately $22 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Support the goals and objectives of CEETP and assist with the implementation of initiatives to strengthen educator preparation pathways, enhance student success, and expand the teacher workforce pipeline.
- Attend periodic trainings, workshops, and meetings.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including high school visits for Teachers of Tomorrow and teacher academies.
- Schedule activities and events for ASPIRE, Recruiter, and residency programs.
- Participate in Learning Labs at the Children’s campus, provide tours as needed, and greet students in the dining hall.
- Order materials, process invoices, and upload expenses to Concur.
- Organize student transportation for events.
- Track GPA for students receiving partial scholarships and coordinate semesterly scholarship payments with Student Financial Services; track the amount awarded to each student each semester.
- Create flyers for programming and contribute to the annual newsletter for external audiences.
- Assist with events such as Visitation Day, Teachers of Tomorrow, Summer Institute, Learning Labs, and focus groups.
- Attend and help facilitate events including CRSI, Blue/Gold, Destination Delaware, Call Banking, and similar activities.
- Attend two recruitment fairs.
- Assist with the creation of educational classroom and testing site (pending funding).
- Help students register for Praxis and other programming initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A four-year college degree is required.
- A master’s degree in an education-related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience is required.
