About this role
About the Role The Master in Health Administration program at the University of La Verne seeks a part-time, adjunct instructor who can teach courses in our newly created Physicians-in-Training cohort. The role requires knowledge of USMLE procedures and processes as well as career development in supporting recently graduated medical school students in their search for residency and fellowship matches.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses in the Physicians-in-Training cohort as part of the MHA program.
- Provide guidance on USMLE procedures and processes and support residents in their residency/fellowship search.
- Collaborate with program leadership to support career development for medical graduates.
What We're Looking For
- A graduate degree in an administrative field (or substantial hospital-based residency programming experience in lieu of the degree).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in hospital-based residency programming.
- Knowledge of USMLE procedures and processes and ability to mentor medical graduates in residency matching.
- Experience in adjunct or higher-education teaching is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay rate: $27.04 per hour for Adjunct Instructor (no terminal degree); $28.08 per hour for Adjunct Professor (with terminal degree).
