About the Role The AB Volvo Ipswich site invites Light Vehicle Technicians to join a structured conversion program to become HGV Technicians. You’ll receive full training, a £1000 signing bonus after 6 months, and a qualification (IMI Level 3) upon completion to support a long-term career in heavy vehicles.
What You'll Do
- Carry out inspections, MOT preparation, diagnostic work and fault finding on trucks and buses.
- Carry out repairs on engines, gearboxes, brakes and suspension.
- Learn to use Volvo’s in-house systems and complete paperwork (job cards, service sheets).
- Work toward Volvo Service Times targets and participate in on-the-job mentoring.
- Benefit from training across Volvo Training Academy and regional managers.
